The ARUVA Plan for Equitable Development is focused on the outcomes that can be achieved through the development process.

This report presents a list of community-identified priorities that can guide community leaders, city staff, and elected officials in further discussions about future development in the Alum Rock Focus Area.

The scoring of this project is evaluated on 7 elements: Affordability, Local labor, Authentic community input, Culturally inspired and vibrant places for people, Community space, Healthy & sustainable development, and Local preference

Silicon Valley PATH and Northern California Affirmed Housing have made substantial changes to project 2350 Alum Rock Ave, especially on the prevention of displacement and equity.

This report was presented at the Feb 22 ARUVA meeting by City of San Jose planning staff. It covers the history of the Alum Rock Urban Village Plan and other details about the urban village framework.
